Welcome to Paloma Elementary, home of the Panthers. We are nestled in the beautiful Santa Fe Hills community of San Marcos adjacent to Las Posas Park. We have about 940 students and thirty-seven classes. Our school is a positive learning community where every member is valued and respected. Our student population is very diverse with thirteen different home languages represented. We believe this diversity enriches our students’ educational experience.
We maintain high academic standards as reflected in our school’s achievements; we have twice been named a California Distinguished School. Our current Academic Performance Index (API) is 926, on a scale where an 800 score is considered exemplary. Our staff is highly qualified, hardworking, and always seeking to improve. We believe every child should experience new learning everyday and seek to differentiate our curriculum to meet all students’ needs.
Recognizing students need to be well rounded citizens, we address students’ social development as well. We have a character education program called “The Panther Way” which is led by our full time counselor. We also provide opportunities for students to begin community service with our Safety Patrol, Peace Patrol, and STARS peer tutoring program.
Our goal is to provide an outstanding educational experience for our students and a positive working relationship with our parents, staff, and community members. Please contact our school if you have any questions or need assistance.
